After screaming at Arlen Specter at a ‘town hall’ meeting about healthcare reform, Pennsylvanians can head on over to Bethlehem and attend Musikfest, and grab a few of these:

Purple Sweet Potatoes

These are grown on Rota (near Guam, part of the CNMI). They’re delicious, and I imagine they’d make a cool-looking mashed potato dish. (I’m thinking my photo doesn’t do them justice, as they are really a bright purple.)

Minor League Update

There were many stories this past month about how if the Albany Firebirds (Arena Football League 2) didn’t secure the eighth and final playoff spot, they would likely fold. Alas, they ended up ninth, losing the tiebreaker to the Florida Firecats. But fortunately for the Firebirds, the Firecats folded first! Fire!
