Yesterday at the job one of my patients was bummed, told me his brother had passed away. “20 years smoking crack every day, his heart just couldn’t take it anymore.” When the groovy Dr Dre song which I hadn’t heard in ages was playing on his Soul Jamz radio – I like the way you work it, No Diggity, Gotta bag it up – I saw pools of tears in his eyes.
