EPISODE #180: ASK JACK, INSTALLMENT 10
The Who — “Happy Jack” [THEME]
The Smiths — “Ask”
Question from Audrey:
Here’s a question for ASK JACK that’s been bugging me for almost a year: Last Summer at a Rascal Flatts concert, the woman sitting behind me knew every word to every song and was enthusiastically singing along, to the point where the sound of HER voice in my ear was drowning out the voices of Rascal Flatts! If this happens again, should I turn around and politely ask her not to sing so loudly? I know that part of the fun at concerts is to sing and dance along with your favorite band, but after all, I paid to hear Rascal Flatts sing, not this woman!

I’m at the age where I just refuse to do things I’m not interested in doing just to be nice. I don’t want to do it, I’m not going to do it. I don’t like you, I’m not going to fake it. Problem is, how do you politely tell your friend, “I like you, I’d hang out with you, but I kind of want to push your friend off a cliff”?
