EPISODE #261: NEW TO ME IN 2016 + LIVE HIGHLIGHTS
In 2016, I saw 145 musical performances by 135 different acts, 83 of which I was seeing for the first time, 77 of them brand-new to me. Of those, I was inspired to buy 9 records. (I also purchased a debut record by an act that I’d seen in a previous year.) My show-going was cut short mid-year by illness and hospitalization, thus the reduced annual tally and the tardiness of this episode.
